The Greater Austin Suzuki Institute is a five to eight day violin, viola and cello camp for students and their adult practice partner, and teachers.  Student lessons will include masterclasses, technique classes, large group classes, an enrichment elective, and Orchestra for more experienced students.  The teacher training program will be focused on instrumental technique, teaching the Suzuki repertoire and improving teaching methodologies.

Early-Bird Registration: Up until March 1
Standard registration (not discounted): March 2 – May 1.
Late Registration ($25 late fee) May 2 – June 15.

The mission of the GASA scholarship for institute is to allow students and teachers who might not otherwise have access to this opportunity, to receive Suzuki instruction and training.

Registration fees include instruction and one institute t-shirt.   Off campus housing is available at a number of nearby hotels.

Refund Policy

In the event that you decide to cancel your registration, notify the Greater Austin Suzuki Institute in writing.

There is a $50 non-refundable cancellation fee per participant.  The payment of all other fees paid (less cancellation fee) will be returned according to the following schedule:

  • If written notice of cancellation is received by May 1, 75% refund of fees paid less $50 cancellation fee
  • If written notice of cancellation is received by May 15, 50% refund of fees paid, less $50 cancellation fee
  • If written notice of cancellation is received after May 15, no refund, forfeit all fees paid

Due to commitments to faculty and travel plans, applicants who withdraw after May 15, forfeit all fees.
