Adrianna O’Brien is a Suzuki Cello teacher and Early Childhood Education instructor. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she studied with renowned pedagogue Phyllis Young and taught in the UT String Project. Adrianna also earned a Master’s degree from The Hartt School in Connecticut, where she studied Suzuki pedagogy with Pamela Devenport, and cello performance with Terry King. In 2004, Adrianna moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to teach at MacPhail Center for Music. In 2009 she founded the Emerald Suzuki Academy where she nurtures music students of all ages. Adrianna performs throughout the state of Minnesota with the Loring String Quartet, she plays with the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra in the summers, and is a popular clinician at the Mardi Gras Suzuki Workshop in Shreveport, Louisiana. In her spare time, Adrianna enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her two favorite people, her husband Conor and daughter Úna.
