Connor Bell is on faculty of Suzuki Strings of Austin where he will teach violin and viola privately,teach group lessons, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education classes.. Connor is also the Orchestra Director at Deerpark Middle School in Round Rock ISD where he teaches 6-8th grade violin, viola, cello, bass and harp students using a Suzuki in the Schools curriculum.Connor Bell received his Bachelor of Music in Music Studies and teacher certification in Music Early Childhood through 12th grade at the Butler School of Music of the University of Texas at Austin. While at the Butler School, Connor performed in ensembles and taught in the UT String Project. The UT String Project gave Mr. Bell the opportunity to conduct orchestras, lead sectional rehearsals, teach music theory, and give private lessons to students of all ages. He maintains a private studio of violin students and served as Interim Orchestra Director for Mathews and Pease Elementary.Mr. Bell has taken over one hundred hours of Suzuki teacher training, which includes countless hours of observation. He also received training in the first stage of the Early Childhood Education class. Additionally, Mr. Bell continually goes to enrichment courses to develop and expand his teaching.Mr. Bell is an active member of The American String Teachers’ Association, The Suzuki Association of the Americas, The Texas Music Educators Association, Greater Austin Suzuki Association and The North Texas Suzuki Association.Mr. Bell has served as guest clinician for the Manor ISD String Festival, Longhorn Music Camp, & Summer Strings in Fredericksburg, TX.
